About CCHC

About us...

The CCHC (Clarkstown Capitals Hockey Club) was established in 1998. Our objective is to maintain an elite ice hockey club which fosters and promotes the sport of competitive ice hockey. We strive to develop the essentials of good sportsmanship through team play, self discipline and good fellowship.

At the beginning, we started by offering just Squirt and Pee Wee team levels, we now typically train over 100 players across many teams during the season.

In addition to success with the CCHC, many of our players have developed into impact players on local high school varsity hockey teams. Over the years CCHC has “graduated” over 50 players to local high school varsity teams and prep school teams. And as the first eligible class of CCHC graduated, three went on to play in college.

CCHC could not have achieved this much without the dedication of its talented coaching staff. The Capitals have many highly talented coaches who are all certified by USA Hockey and attend mandatory coaching clinics. We always look to further improve our staff and welcome new volunteers. CCHC is a "Not-For-Profit" organization and is operated entirely by a staff of dedicated volunteers. If you know someone who is interested in coaching please let us know.

Parents hold important jobs as well with the Capitals. First, is to always keep their child positive and upbeat and enjoying the game regardless of their role on the team. We also need many "little big jobs" to be done to help the teams run smoothly. The coaches depend on this help so they can concentrate on what they do best, teach your children. We welcome you to sign up for these volunteer positions through your team manager or our board of directors..
